This Privacy Policy explains what data the EU Guarantee & Warranty Label Shopify app ("the app", "we") accesses, how we use it, and how it is retained and deleted. The app is published by Consentico.

Data we access

To provide its functionality, the app requests the following Shopify access scopes:

read_products, write_products — to read your products and store the GARAN durability guarantee details (years, brand, model) as product metafields, and to render the correct notice and label.

The app also stores shop-level settings you configure (for example, whether the notice is enabled, display placement, and language preferences) and your plan status.

Data we do not collect

The app does not collect, store, or process customer personal data. It does not read orders or customer records, and it sets no cookies on your storefront. Storefront notice and label artwork is served as static localized images.

How we use data

Product and settings data is used solely to render the legal guarantee notice and the GARAN durability label on your storefront and in your order-confirmation email, and to operate the app's features (bulk editing, compliance proof, coverage monitoring).

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. Data is processed only to operate the app. Infrastructure providers (hosting, database) process data on our behalf under their own security commitments.

Data retention and deletion

When you uninstall the app, your configuration is retained briefly in case you reinstall, then permanently deleted. We implement Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks:

shop/redact — permanently purges your shop's data (approximately 48 hours after uninstall).
customers/redact and customers/data_request — acknowledged; because we store no customer personal data, there is nothing to erase or return.

Security

All data is transmitted over TLS/HTTPS. Access to the app admin is authenticated via Shopify session tokens; the app uses no third-party cookies.
